Who is welcome?

Current families, past families, alumni, and friends of Advent are encouraged to attend. We also welcome like-minded individiuals who are interested in learning more about an Advent education and/or the history of the School. Attending the Gala not only supports Advent's mission, but it also uplifts the amazing work of Artists for Humanity by supporting local youth artists and community partnerships.

We are excited to celebrate with all members of the Advent community including current families, past families, alumni, and friends. This festive get together provides a great opportunity to connect with friends old and new, and the dynamic venue allows for intimate conversations and group gathering.

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is cocktail attire. You should wear what makes you feel the best!

Where is the venue and how do I get there?

The Artists for Humanity Epicenter is located between South Boston and the Seaport at 100 W 2nd St Boston, MA 02127.

By MBTA: Artists for Humanity is a .3 mile walk from Broadway Station on the Red Line.

By car: parking is available at the Channel Center Garage located at 116 W 1st Street Boston, MA 02127.

Are there assigned tables and dinner?

Dinner is a combination of passed appetizers and food stations that accommodates all dietary restrictions.

There will be various seating options and there are no assigned tables.

What COVID-19 protocols are in place for the event?

The Gala will not surpass the venue's maximum capacity of 750 people, and the venue is large with high ceilings. There is ample opportunity to physically distance between the main floor, side room, and the mezzanine area. Weather-dependent, we plan to open the venue's large garage door for maximum air circulation.

The venue is mask-optional, and there will be masks available at the venue if you choose to wear one. We encourage you to take a rapid antigen test before the event. If you or your guests feel unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms before the event, we kindly ask that you do not attend the event and celebrate with us from afar.

What is the program? Is there an auction?

A portion of the program supports the Advent Annual Fund through a Raise the Paddle fundraiser. The Annual Fund is our most impactful yearly fundraising that is budget-relieving for our operational expenses. Tuition does not cover the total cost of educating a child at Advent, and the Annual Fund bridges that gap. Our program before the Paddle Raise features stakeholders who will speak to the impact of the Annual Fund through the lens of teacher professional development, financial aid, and the impact of an Advent education. There is no auction.

This year, Advent partnered with OneCause to offer mobile giving during the Raise the Paddle fundraiser.
